Kia's EV9 GT Set to Debut in 2025
Kia has officially confirmed that the Kia EV9 GT, the performance flagship of its EV lineup, will debut in January 2025. This large SUV promises "enormous power output" from its dual electric motors, ensuring a thrilling driving experience. The EV9 GT will accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 4 seconds, thanks to its powerful setup.
The announcement was made during Kia's 2024 CEO Investor Day in Seoul, with more details revealed about the model. The EV9 GT will feature dual electric motors, offering all-wheel-drive capability. The "enormous power output" suggests it might exceed the impressive figures of the smaller EV6 GT. This power is necessary to propel the EV9 GT's substantial size with the agility of a sports car.
In addition to its impressive performance, the EV9 GT will feature a "reinforced suspension and electronic braking system," ensuring stable driving at high speeds. The chassis setup will likely be complemented by new alloy wheels and a slightly more aggressive appearance than the existing GT-Line trim.
